Sound quality - Well obviously sound quality is pretty important
for a speaker. It should be. After all, isn't that why you're buying
new speakers in the first place? You should get deep, articulate
bass that's not boomy, and doesn't accentuate certain
frequencies at the expence of others. The high frequencies should
be, as they say, crystal clear, but not harsh. Be careful of high
notes that sound a bit to detailed, as that can end up being
fatiguing during expended listening.

Size - They shouldn't be huge. You should be able to get great
sound without resorting to some of those huge, mondo tower
speakers. This is an iPOD we're talking about, after all. If you
wanted to get great sound with huge seakers, you could just add
an iPOD docking station to your home stereo.

Looks - They should look great. Your iPOD is the slickest bit of
industrial design around,a nd you don't want something clunky as
an accompaniment. You should get something that looks great as
well as sounding fantastic.
