How to Download Music to a PSP
Here is the procedure you use to download music to a PSP.
How to Download Music to a PSP - Step 1
Use a USB cable with a mini-USB and on one side to connect
your PSP to the computer where the music will be coming
from.
How to Download Music to a PSP - Step 2
Enable the USB connection on your PSP. You'll find it in the
"settings" menu. Just press the small "home' button to the
lower left of your screen. Navigate to settings using the left
and right arrow buttons. Then just go down until you get to the
"USB connection" icon and hit the "X" button on the front of
your PSP.

As soon as your computer detects your PSP and indicates
that a new USB device is connected now connected, you're
almost home! Your PSP will show up as a generic hard drive,
just like when you connect a USB thumb drive or USB portable
hard drive. Just click on the drive letter in Windows Explorer
that's really your PSP.
How to Download Music to a PSP - Step 4
Make a folder on the drive that's really your PSP and call it,
appropriately enough, "PSP".

Inside the PSP folder you just made, make another folder and
call it "music". Actually you could call it anything, but 68_Nova
or chocolate pudding just doesn't make any sense.

Copy your music from its location on your computer to the new
music folder on your PSP. (remember "cntrl+C" ,"cntrl+V")
How to Download Music to a PSP - Step 7
Got it all? Good. Now just press the "O" button on your PSP
and that will disconnect the USB. Pull out the cable and you're
all done. Your music will appear out of nowhere on your PSP
under "memory stick".
If you're running a non hacked PSP with old firmware, yoiou
have to convert your music to MP3 if it's not already in that
format.
